Unlikely combination? I think not!
- 1 package frozen broccoli spears
- 2 tbsp chopped onion
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup milk
- ½ lb cooked crab meat
Heat oven to 350º. Cook broccoli according to package directions until barely done. Arrange broccoli in the bottom of 1-quart casserole. Saute onions in butter; stir in salt and flour. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Add cheese and cook over a low flame until thickened. Stir in lemon juice. Add crab meat and pour over broccoli. Bake until bubbly and browned, about 30 minutes.
